Project Description:
Silwood Park Farmhouse is a Grade II listed building, part of which was constructed in the 1700s.
The building had been extended in the early 20th Century, but was in an extremely dilapidated condition. The project involved the demolition and rebuild of an earlier extension and the extensive refurbishment of the listed barn, stable block and out- houses to provide a high spec, seven bed roomed residential property, with gym, sauna and swimming pool.
A second phase of work was completed to create a significant new access drive to serve the property, which runs through existing woodland on the campus.
Key Challenges:
- Management of conservation issues to minimise impact on programme
- Management of difficult planning issues relating to the development of the access drive
