Green Frog Power Limited - Health and Safety Management
Green Frog Power builds and operates power stations in the United Kingdom. They supply standby power to the National Grid and develop gas-powered peaking stations. They also invest in and develop new green technologies.
RCPM was appointed to develop and launch an online safety management system to incorporate all operation and maintenance information as well as keep the operatives informed of legislative requirements under the general Health and Safety Regulations.
Green Frogs activities required a Health & Safety Management system that made allowances for the remote nature of their maintenance operation.
The works comprised the development of all policy documentation, safe working procedures and all risk assessments identified as being required.
The system is user friendly and appears as a simple file structure which requires very basic computer knowledge to be able to function fully.
The portal is sited on the clients intranet and hosted by RCPM which assists in their disaster planning policy and ensures that the safety management system will be available to remote operatives even when their own, internal system is down. The other obvious advantage of the system is that it requires no printed documentation and therefore reduces the carbon footprint of the system and assists the company in achievement of the CSR targets.
The system was successfully launched in November 2011 and is being monitored by the health and safety management team.
