The Freshwater Group is a small business that formed in 2005 to build on its founders' 20 years of experience in the senior living sector. They provide specialised housing, hospitality and healthcare needs in retirement communities and engage in developing visionary projects that will dramatically improve the quality of life for older adults.
Project Description:
The project comprised infrastructure services for the refurbishement of 9 residential blocks containing over 500nr apartments, plus commercial office and retail units at ground floor.
The building was constructed in the 1920's and presented significant design challenges at all stages in relation to routing the following services; mains electrical distribution; hot and cold water services; heating services; fire protections systems; access and security systems; drainage.
The project was carried out in 9 phases and all of the properties remained occupied throughout, thus all services had to be maintained at all times.
All systems had to be carefully designed, specified and fully co-ordinated to ensure that the project met the design specification, programme targets and budget constraints.
