Project Description:
An existing Explore Learning facility at first floor within the Sava Centre was relocated to an external space at ground floor. Arc worked in conjunction with Longcross Construction to produce a 3,000 sq ft infill extension in the car park undercroft area to accommodate an Explore Learning centre. Our role was to design a compliant building shell suitable for occupation by Explore Learning including supporting planning application information. The project also involved co-ordination with in-house designers for all fixtures and fittings.
Key Challenges:
Junctions between the extension and the existing Sava Centre walls, glazing and undercroft required careful investigation to maintain structural and fire integrity.
