Durkan Estates is part of the Durkan Company and develops new homes on exclusive developments and has an established reputation specialising in the prestigious refurbishment and conversion of existing residential and commercial buildings. They've been developing high quality new homes for private sale in locations across London, the Home Counties and the South East of England since 1963.
Project Description:
The project included renewable energy generation in the form of photo voltaic cells and solar water heating.
Our duties extended to early utilities advice and full design drawings and specifications. We carried out early feasibility consulting duties to establish the optimum solutions for space, heating, water heating, ventilation and lighting taking into account capital cost, environmental impact, running costs, NHBC compliance requirements and property sales impact.
Early advice took place in relation to strategic scheme design and impact of various services solutions and infra-structure requirements.

- BREEAM Assessment for office accommodation
- Sustainability assessment, report of design to comply with Local Authority planning conditions which resulted in requirements for onsite renewable generation energy.
- Renewable and onsite energy generation in the form of photo voltaic cells and solar water heating.
