Adullam Homes Housing Association was formed in 1972 by Walter Moore MBE and are a specialist supported housing association providing all types of accommodation for their residents, together with a number of other services.  Their projects are in East and West Midlands, Cheshire and Staffordshire, High Peak and Derbyshire Dales, Greater Manchester and Lancashire, and Merseyside.  They are a non profit organisation, operating on the principles of the Christian Faith.

Project Description:

The works comprised the full refurbishment of an existing Grade II listed office, building of c900m2 to form new ground floor offices together with the conversion of the first and second floors into further offices and also 13 Nr. individual one bed en-suite rooms and various communal rooms, including a residents lounge, laundry, kitchen and dining room.  A second building of 220m2, which was a previous stables block, was also converted into 6 Nr. individual one bedroom flats. The project also included the external works to the whole site area.

Key Challenges:

  • Completing the works to the strict limitations of the conservation requirements for the listed building.
  • Providing a high quality project within a building that has previously suffered extensive vandalism.
